Music for Me Blog

Through a variety of songs and games, learners will build knowledge of the fundamentals of music. We will work on: (1) Developing singing voices and matching pitch (2) Playing/notating rhythms (3) Identifying notes on the staff and playing them on glockenspiels (4) Creating our own music and (5) Learning musical terminology (dynamics, tempo, symbols, etc.). We will also get exposure to music from different cultures.

Welcome to Spring Term of "Music In Me"

I am excited for another fun term of music together. Here is the syllabus attached -- really just goals for our class which we will touch upon every session. Hopefully, you'll become Master Musicians by the end.
Parents and families, you are welcome in the class as always at Village Home! You are what make this learning such a success. Thank you for your support in the past!

Bunny Song -- Glock part

Hi everyone,
This week on the glocks, you can practice GACC or "Ba Dum Ba Dum" from the groovy rabbit song.
Also, if anyone wants to figure out a familiar song like Hot Cross Buns, Mary Had a Little Lamb, Twinkle Twinkle, etc. on the glock, you can perform it for us next week.
It's so much fun playing with you!
Margie

I can't wait to meet you all on Wednesday for some great music songs and games! We'll get to know each other's names through rhythm games and silly songs, then play some fun singing games and get to know the music alphabet.
