The highly energetic and talented Village Home high school mock trial team placed 4th at its regional competition last weekend. This was the first year for everyone on our team (coaches included), and it was inspiring how hard the kids worked to prepare for what turned out to be a terrific performance, as they squared off against Sunset, Westview and Valley Catholic. Congrats are in order for Austin Bryan, Hailey Eby, Ian Kronquist, Connor Madigan, Dylan Schertz, Alex Threet, Peter Warila, Conner Willemsen, Ben Wood and coaches Terry Purcell and Barb Smythe.

In only 8 weeks of rehearsal, a tight-knit group of 28 homeschoolers staged a musical production of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory that delighted candy-lovers of all ages. The show was produced in conjunction with Young People's Theater Project. The cast did two shows for an audience of over 300.
