Sign Up for Field Trips and Workshops

In order to Register for Village Home field trips, workshops, and special programs, you must be:

1. A member of Village Home OR
2. Have a child enrolled in classes at Village Home OR
3. Be a guest of someone who is #1 or #2 and be accompanied on the field trip by the member or the enrolled family.

Non-member families seeking to learn first hand about the Village Home experience may attend select trips on a one-trip-per-year and request basis. Call 503-597-9100 or email to: fieldtrips@villagehome.org to find out more.

Payment Procedure for Field Trips and Workshops

Pay for your event within five business days of registering in one of two ways:

1. Place your payment in the Field Trip Payment Box found in the Village Home office OR
2. Mail your payments to:
       Village Home Field Trip Coordinator, PO Box 2093, Beaverton, OR 97075-2093

Be sure to indicate the fieldtrip(s) or workshop(s) you are paying for on your check. Make checks payable to Village Home. Payments may be combined.

Refund Policy

Your registration is your commitment to participate in the field trip or workshop and to pay for the event. You will be responsible for paying for all events you register for, even if you do not attend the event. In some cases, we are able to accommodate a cancellation request. For example, if you registered for an event, then changed your mind about attending, you may contact the Field Trip Coordinator (fieldtrips@villagehome.org) to make a cancellation request. If we are able to honor the request, we will. If not, you will still be responsible for payment. All cancellation requests are subject to approval by the Field Trip Coordinator. Refunds will be made to all parties if Village Home cancels the event.

Field Trip and Workshop Policy

1. Field trip participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied on off-campus field trips by a parent, guardian, or parent designee. (Workshops at Village Home do not require parent attendance, unless noted.)
2. Field trips begin and end at the field trip location. Village Home provides no transportation to and from field trips.

Be a Trip Leader or Workshop Host

Trip leaders and Workshop Hosts receive 30 minutes of on-campus volunteer credit. To earn volunteer time, click on the trip leader option when you register for a field trip to be considered. The Field Trip Coordinator will contact you. Trip Leader/Workshop Host Duties:

• Remind members of event at least 24 hours in advance via email or phone call. (We send you the list of participants.)
• Coordinate participants at the event location.
• Check in the group at the event venue; bring payment if needed. (We give you a check for payment.)
• Record participant attendance.
• Report attendance and any problems to Field Trip Coordinator after event.
• Fill out short event evaluation after event.
