REGISTER FOR HOMESCHOOL TESTING

Oregon law requires  standardized homeschool tests administered by a qualified test examiner after grades 3, 5, 8 and 10 by August 15. Tests can also provide feedback about how your learner is doing.

NOTE: due to COVID-19, Oregon has approved an extension of the regular August 15 deadline for homeschool testing; testing may now be completed by November 1, 2020.

As a service to the homeschool community, Village Home is proud to offer the Terra Nova Test (formerly California Achievement Test CAT) for grades 3-12. The Terra Nova is one of the homeschool tests approved by the state of Oregon.

We offer a friendly, low-stress test environment that complies with Oregon testing requirements. Our paper-and pencil tests that are hand scored with results emailed within 2 weeks. Students bring water, a snack, simple calculator, and a book and will have a break during testing.

TEST RESULTS
Group and private testing fees include the standard test report: raw score, national percentile, and grade equivalent for each section of the test. For an additional $10 per test, a Diagnostic Profile breaks down responses by specific learning. If you want details about your child’s test performance, be sure to order your diagnostic profile.

Group Testing  2020

Per the ODE, Virtual Test Proctoring is an option for home school testing. Village Home has scheduled Virtual Group Testing the last Monday of each month starting June  with additional dates possibly scheduled as needed.

Virtual Group Testing suits learners who can self-manage and follow Test Administrator instructions in a timed, virtual group setting. Learner accommodations cannot be made in group testing sessions, see Private Testing information below for more information.

Virtual Group Testing cost is $52 per child. Registration closes 10 days prior to the testing date; after registration deadline closes details and instructions will be sent. All learners must attend their Virtual Group Testing time with sharpened pencils, simple calculator, water, and a book to read in case they finish before the allotted time for each test section.

Disregard for Virtual Group Testing policies and procedures will result in the invalidation of the test and test session, without refund. Please note, late check-ins to Virtual Group Testing sessions cannot be accommodated. Actual length of testing time varies.

Parent must be nearby thier learner taking the test during entire test session, and all learners must be in camera view for the entire allotted test time during Virtual Group Testing, except during their break(s).
