Tuition And Fees

Village Home is in session for three, 10-week terms between September and June. In addition to classes, clubs, and competitive teams, we also offer field trips and workshops, parent enrichment programs, and travel opportunities. Village Home is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and relies on fundraising and donations from our families and friends to keep classes affordable and accessible.

2017/18 Tuition for Classes

Class Tuition Base Price $108 ($10.80/hour of instruction)

Pre-School offerings are $95 for 10 hours of Instruction ($9.50/hour of instruction)

For families who purchase many classes, there is a discount of “10th Class is Free, 20th Class is Free, etc”.  And, we provide over $30,000 in Financial Aid, and over $25,000 in volunteer tuition discounts annually.

Classes such as lab science, art, and technology classes may be higher due to class material fees or book costs.

Registration Fee

Non-refundable $20 registration fee per family, per term.

Materials & Book Fees

If there is a product or textbook required, add the product or textbook to your cart and it will be provided by the teacher on the first day of class. In some cases, we will include an Amazon product link in the description and instruct you to purchase the text or product directly and bring it the first day of class. In addition, materials fees will typically be added to science, tech, and art classes ($5 – $20) to cover class specific supplies.

Community Duty (CD) Volunteering

To keep tuition affordable, and to be a part of the community,  Village Home families participate in Community Duty (CD). Each family signs up for one CD shift per term. An ADULT has to complete the Community Duty for a family (CD can be done by an adult friend or relative on behalf of another family). Families who are unable or choose not to do Community Duty may buy-out.

Ways to Save on Tuition

We strive to keep tuition affordable. We have many ways to save:

  1. Sign up for (and keep through add/drop) 10 classes per family and get one free. If you have a combination of 10 classes and clubs, the least expensive offering will be “free”.
  2. Refer a friend to Village Home. If they register for a class, you get $20 off of a class!
  3. Apply for Financial Aid. We disburse over $30,000 a year in financial aid to families who qualify. See the Financial Aid section below for details.
  4. Apply for and get placed in a Community Duty Plus job, and get a discount on classes and/or Priority Registration.
  5. Sign up for the Choices Community Learning Program for discounts on Village Home alacarte offerings.

Financial Aid

Limited need-based financial aid is available for the all Village Home campuses and is awarded in the summer for the entire year. Deadline for first consideration is July 24, 2017.
